It
is a quick and easily preparable dish which can be used as tea time snake or as
side dish in meals.
Ingredients :
Gram flour (senagapindi or Besan) - ¼ kg |
Onions - 2 medium size |
Green chillies – 3 to 4 |
Salt - 1 tea spoon |
Baking soda- ¼ tea spoon |
Oil - enough to fry |
Water - ½ cup
Procedure :
Take onions and cut into thin strings,
cut chillies into small pieces.
Then take one bowl add gram flour, onions, chillies, baking soda, salt and mix well.
Then add ½ cup of water and mix to make smooth batter like consistency.

Then take one frying pan add oil and heat it. After oil
becomes hot drop small amounts of mixture into the oil.
Once pakodas become golden brown, take them out and strain them to remove excess oil.
Then serve them hot. These can be served with tomato ketchup. If you want crispy pakoda add small quantities of mixture if not little high quantities can be added. This dish can be prepared within 10 to 15 min.
